La condición humana

 

Baranski: Se dice que el doctor ve nuestras debilidades, el sacerdote nuestra estupidez y el abogado nuestra enfermedad.

Davis: Permítanme agregar una advertencia, en la Corte o el despacho legal como las que hemos visto desde los primeros días de la TV hasta la actualidad, los abogados han visto todas las combinaciones de la condición humana.

Torres: Y en sus esfuerzos, de muchas maneras intentan mejorar esa condición humana y elevarnos. Sin embargo, al final, los abogados de la pantalla nos recuerdan dos cosas: 1) que la mezcla de debilidad, estupidez y maldad nunca terminará.

Baranski: 2) Los casos, juicios y clientes que ejemplifican dicha combinación hacen TV muy entretenida.

"It has been said that the doctor sees our human weakness, the minister sees our stupidity, and the lawyer sees our sickness," Baranski opened. "Although let me add this," Davis said. "One caveat in courtrooms and law office like the ones we've seen from the early days of TV up through today lawyers have seen every combination of the human condition." Torres continued, "and in their efforts, in so many ways they try to better that human condition and uplift us. Ultimately, TV lawyers remind us of two things: first, that the trifecta of weakness, stupidity, and wickedness will never go away." Baranski added that "second, the cases and trials and clients that showcase that trifecta make for really entertaining TV."
